The overnight resumption of devastating mass atrocities in Gaza – killing and maiming hundreds of Palestinians through Israeli military airstrikes – is deeply horrifying and must stop immediately. Indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks in flagrant disregard of international humanitarian law betray humanity and constitute serious international crimes.
The trapped and immiserated population of Gaza must not be re-subjected to a terrifying extended campaign of utter horror, suffering and trauma. We urge an immediate return to a state of ceasefire and call on the UK government to decisively act against Israel’s return to perpetrating massive violence in Gaza.
