LPHR and our colleagues at the Balfour Project have submitted an urgent joint letter to the UK government on its potential involvement with the International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion proceedings on the legal consequences of Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The letter is signed by 71 lawyers, including nine Kings Counsel, among them Sir Geoffrey Nice KC and Sir Geoffrey Bindman KC. The recent UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory (2016-22), Professor Michael Lynk, is a further signatory. Geoffrey Bindman and Michael Lynk are also LPHR trustees.
